Last Updated on June 12, 2021 by TM

Samsung described the Galaxy Note 10 as “a mobile experience that is like a computer, a gaming console, a movie-tech camera, and an intelligent pen, all in one device”.

Design

The design of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is all new, it is way beyond limit. This is undoubtedly the best designed Note ever in Nigeria. However, somethings have changed this time.

At first glimpse, you will notice that the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is almost all-screen if not that the punch hole which houses the Selfie camera is standing on the way.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 comes in a slim body which is made up of a polished metal and glass meld with curved edges but there is little or no bezels.

On the left side, you will find the volume rocker and another button which we are use to calling the power button but right here on this phone, it is something else.

The power button will do the normal job of taking the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 to sleep but it won’t turn off the phone even when you hold it for some seconds.

Rather than turn-off, it will activate Bixby which we all know is Samsung’s own assistant. We all know what that does, it work’s almost like Google Assistant.

If the power button is no longer the power button, how do I turn-off the Samsung Galaxy Note 10?

To do that, you simply just need to slide down the notification bar, look through your right, beside the settings icon you will see a small icon, tap it and you are there.

Samsung decided to put away the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack we are use to having on her smartphones. The Galaxy Note 10 is the first flagship to skip this feature.

This means we are gradually getting to the point where we won’t be using wired earphones anymore. The headphone jack is leaving and it won’t be coming back.

The fingerprint reader on the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is just like the one we saw on the S10. It’s in-display and ultrasonic. The good thing about this fingerprint reader is that; it’s very fast.

When you take another pleasant look at the Samsung Galaxy Note 10, you will see the USB Type-C port, speaker grill and the S pen at the bottom.

There is a also a sim-tray that can accommodate dual SIM card at the right. The speaker now offers audio enhanced by Dolby Atmos which provides high guarantee for a rich 3D sound experience.

Display

On the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is a 1080p 6.3inch Cinematic Infinity-O AMOLED display which is slightly bigger than the one on the Note 9 of last year.

The display have curved edges, it is intelligent in all conditions, you even get more screen with little or no interruption expect for the little black circle that refuses to go off at the top.

The display on the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is very rich in colors. You know Samsung with her world class OLED screens and her incredible colors and details at 4K UHD.

The colorful screen now have up to 1200nits peak brightness, 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio for immersive mobile experience and most importantly, the 6.3inch display is HDR+ certified.

If you are the type that love working with your phone too long, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 can reduce eyestrain, it works automatically just like eye Care.

Camera

On the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 are all the camera essentials, from dual aperture lens to Ultra-wide camera, live focus and even scene Optimizer.

The selfie camera which is now centrally placed in an Infinity-0 display cut out is a 10MP front-facing camera that will surprise you a lot.

The camera set up at the back is even more of an upgrade. There is a triple camera that is vertically placed. A 12MP main camera, 12MP 2x telephoto camera and an ultra-wide 16MP camera.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 camera can take away shakes in footage. There is no need to worry about doing too much editing. The photos still comes out good regardless.

When it comes to video taking, the camera does perform excellently. You can now make videos with peace of mind and even record in ultra-wide mode.

That’s not all, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 can make Boken videos that looks just as amazing as your photos. This is something that is more than just a simple camera.

Battery life

On the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is a 3400mAh battery that is non-removable. This should be enough to serve for at least a day on single charge.

And of course, there is wireless charging feature on the Samsung Galaxy Note 10. Although this is no longer a big deal, we have seen this on many phones in Nigeria.

Software & Spec

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 comes with Android 9.0 pie Operating System that is based on Samsung One UI which does appear to be getting better and amazing.

There is also a 7nm processor with 2.0Gbps LTE for incredible speed on file downloads, live gaming, and content streaming. This makes the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 one of the fastest around.

The Storage on this flagship have also been taken to the next level, we’ve got an 8GB RAM and 256GB ROM in-house but there is no expandability.😗

However, real storage may vary depending on pre-installed apps. Let’s not forget that the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is still IP68 water and dust resistant.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 also received a Snapdragon 855 chipset. Her improved AI and enhanced NPU provides you with smooth gaming experience.

S pen

The 10 hours battery S pen on the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is very powerful, It is not just an ordinary pen, there are lots of stuffs this thing can do. We will get to find out shortly.

First, the S pen is Bluetooth enabled. It can be used to slide through projected presentation, play & pause videos and even do some video editing. That’s not all.

You can take photos using the S pen. Do screen off memo, air gestures, zoom in and out, change audio volume, flip through photos and do some writing on the screen without loading a single app.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 can convert your handwriting to text in the background and indexes that text which you can find when you make a search.

There is more to these, everything is in the S pen tip. Just go a head and read.

Security features & Extras

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 comes with two very secure security features: an in-display fingerprint reader & facial recognition.

There is also Samsung Dex available here. What this does is that it connects the phone to a PC or Mac so you can work better with big screens.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 now have a new feature called Play Galaxy link which does a great job of allowing you to use the Note 10 to play games that are on your PC.

My Thoughts

Samsung have uplifted the standard again, now I see why they sit at the number one spot. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is enough evidence for Nigeria.

When you constructively compare the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 to the one of last year, you will observe that there is more reason to upgrade.

With Samsung putting a pin-hole selfie camera on the Note 10 means that they are still very skeptical about the pop-up selfie technique but I still think there is a better way to go about it.

Anyway, this is another great smartphone from Samsung, I can gladly say this is progressive.✌️ Many well fall in love with this phone in Nigeria but make sure you get a good case to protect.
